Amiga

Amiga has been my computer of choice for as long as I can remember, almost. My current system is the one stated Above, but I'm planning on getting the AmigaOne too, when that will be available.

IBrowse

Since more than a year back, I have been involved with the development of IBrowse. I asked my brother if I could have a copy of the source code to work with, and we seriously took up development again.

For current progress of IBrowse, please visit the official homepage at www.ibrowse-dev.net.

Silvercraft

I have developed an interest in silvercrafting, mainly because of the chainmail I make. Most of the work is chainmail style, with chains, pendants and ear rings in small links. I work mainly with silver, both normal and oxidized, but also with gold.

>I make jewelry on demand and order. Thus, I don't have to find a buyer for my the chains, and the buyer knows exactly what he/she gets. Interested? View my portfolio or send a mail.

Working

The work is divided into three parts (one optional). Firstly, I make the rings. They are made by winding wire of an appropriate thickness around a metal rod, also of an appropriate thickness. This results in thick springs, which are then sawn or stretched and cut into separate links. This is very tedious and boring. Optinally, I oxidize some silver rings by dipping them in a nasty, brown liquid.

Secondly (also optionally), I design a pattern using a small program I wrote for my Amiga. Basically, this is a drawing program, with link shaped pixels. The designing is a bit tricky, due to the non-square frontal surface of the links.

Thirdly, I put the links together. This is not as boring as it might seem, strangely. Rather, it is quite meditative, but it takes time. There are a large number of chain patterns available, the next more intricate than the other.
