If you've always got to have the latest thing, chances are you had a DVD player before most people even knew what DVD stood for. But as far as in-car entertainment goes, innovation looked to have stopped around the time of the CD player. Well, it didn't, because now you can have the very latest in audio/visual technology in the back of your car!

This is one of the most amazing products we've seen at Boys Stuff in a long time. The package features a Kingavon DVD player and 5" colour LCD TV, which all fit into a compact, light carry case that is genuinely portable (unlike some so-called `portable' products that you can't lift without giving yourself a hernia). But this set is portable in every way, as the carry case transforms into a car seat mounting point, making it possible to watch movies whilst whizzing down the motorway! Okay, tuning into a Hollywood blockbuster while you're trying to find the turn off to Chichester won't make you very popular with the boys in blue, but maybe you're lucky enough to be the passenger, in which case this is a damn sight more entertaining than playing `I Spy'. Wouldn't you rather watch Vanilla Sky than stare out of the window at the sky? Okay, maybe that's a bad example, but you get the point.

Both the DVD and the TV are powered through a 230V or 12 Volt cigarette lighter (double adaptor included) and you still get top quality pictures and sound. This is perfect for keeping kids entertained on a long journey, or if a group of you are going away together and taking it in turns to drive - everyone gets a chance for an entertainment break. But even if you're always the driver, this is still a great purchase thanks to its sheer versatility, and of course its fabulous price.

There's no need to just use it on the journey; it's perfect for once you get where you're going to. For example, it's ideal for holiday homes or caravans, or if you're in a hotel room with no television (or if there is a television and there's yet another repeat of The Vicar of Dibley on.) You could also use it in the office, or just around the home - in the bedroom, in the dining room, in a child's room. even break the set up and use the DVD with your main TV and have the portable in another room.

The DVD plays DVD/MP3/CD/CD-R/CD-RW, AC/DC (okay, we made that last one up), is multi-regional, supports Dolby Digital Sound, has Optical Digital Audio Output and a range of video output options. The TV boasts wide viewing angle, built-in speakers, external antenna and headphone sockets. Both the DVD and TV have remote controls and run on 230V or 12V in the car or the home.
