The Fruits Of Nature

Oh!  How I love the countryside;  a-rambling do I go, In search of trees and flowers;  the wild things that do grow, Elderberry and Blackberry;  on those I'm very keen, Especially in wine form;  it's an alcoholic's dream!

A sharp look-out is what's required,  with knowledge of such things, Amazing edible fungi,  and what the eating brings, Even the old potatoes,  are set in soil again, So to reduce the shopping bills,  not so with other men.

But heed my words of warning;  make sure of what you know, Or you'll be grey all over;  not with a healthy glow, For nature is quite fickle;  it can easily deceive, And you'll not get another chance;  that much you can believe.

Nature's a great provider, I've said this from the start, Collecting the fruits of nature,  keeps me a boy at heart, There's nothing that compares with it,  strewn 'cross the forest's floors, A twenty-four hour supermarket,  just outside my doors!
