The CRYPT Mag

Create a Desktop Icon for a Website

comphead2.gif

There are several websites I open on a very regular basis. So it would be nice to be able to double click on an icon on my desktop that will open those websites for me, without having to first open Internet Explorer and then open the website.

To achieve this;  go to the website you want  (www.thecryptmag.com).  Right click on a blank area in that website; you'll see a menu will appear.  Left click on Create Shortcut.  A small dialog box will display telling you that a shortcut will be placed on the desktop;  click the OK button.

You'll see an icon on your desktop with the name of the website.   Double click on it whenever you want to visit that website.   Easy entry to the CRYPT.

If you would like to change the name on the icon, right click on the icon.  Left click on Rename from the resulting menu.   Type in what you would like to name it; press the Enter key on the keyboard  (be careful ..I'm watching you :).
