You might have noticed that there has been a new version of Ad-Aware released.

This is called the SE version…….Special Edition?

This is the free version……….

Installation is painless, if you had Ad-Aware already installed; it will remove this before installing the new version.

One of the new features takes advantage of the likes of XP’s multiple users portion, so you can install for yourself or for everyone.

Being the nice program it is, it will immediately ask to check it updated to the latest definitions file.

The GUI is much the same as before, so anyone having used it previously won’t notice much different.

The new version seems to run slightly quicker, but that might just be my imagination.

The real crux of the matter is, how well does it perform……

Well, it found this on my Windows partition, so it can’t be all that bad.

Removing malware, cookies etc is as easy as before.

This is a must for all Windows users, although I’d recommend they don’t rely just on one spyware remover, but use the likes of Search & Destroy as well.
