As you will have noticed, Issue 49 of the CRYPTmag is a tribute to Barry Cann, Staff Writer & Co Editor of the Magazine, who died suddenly on the morning of 12th April 2007.

Barry was always a keen supported of your magazine, and his poetry and Steam Trains articles featured on a regular basis in our issues.  A small selection of his Poems are repeated in this issue.

I am sorry to say I never had the pleasure of meeting Baz face to face, being at opposite ends of the Country meant that contact was only by email.  However even although they say that email is a cold way to communicate, I always found Baz to be a true friend, and one, not to frightened to speak his mind about the magazine.

I have to admit that his sudden departure has had a profound affect on both myself and other team members and we offer our condolences to his Partner Liz and all family members.
