JLC's Internet TV

Submitted by Ian C Fyvie

That I should decide to review an Internet TV program is rather Ironic, I am probably the worlds worst viewer, although I have tried watching Movies on the monitor ... But I end missing half the programs,  WHY?

(a)  Something to do with a 42" Samsung Plasma downstairs?
(b)  I admit it, I`m the worlds biggest fiddler. 60 seconds into a movie and I suddenly wonder what happens if I press the NumLock key.

Ann and I did manage to watch a full episode of Lost using the computer, but Ann hid the keyboard behind the monitor so I couldn`t reach it.

So why do this review, well there are a whole host of Internet TV programs available to download ... All stating you will get a Thousand channels to watch ... all forgetting to tell you 990 channels are in Chinese or some other language you have never heard off.

After downloading and testing 6 Internet TV programs (OK some were Installed and uninstalled in 60 seconds after telling me it required Quicktime installed. A had a bad experience before and swore never to let that blight of a program back on my computers again). However I can confirm in my view JLC's Internet TV is the best.

Having downloaded the FREE Program, I was delighted to see a rare feature allowing you to update the cannel list and to even sort out the channels by Country rather than the norm Sport/Movie etc.  This means that you know the main channels are going to be in a language you will understand.

Another nice feature is being able to close the channel selection area, meaning you can re-size the screen and pop it anywhere in your monitor leaving you with plenty desktop space to work on other things.

Although I am still not a lover of Internet TV, I have to admit I was quite impressed by JLC's Internet TV package. Well worth a try.
