Provençal Pork Burgers
Written by the Dungeon Master

We all enjoy a beef burger either from our local fast food take-a-way or purchased frozen from the local supermarket and cooked at home. But why stay with a beef burger, why not try a different meat such as pork and for added taste and enjoyment why not make and cook them yourself. OK not as cheap as supermarket burgers but these are delicious. Try it.

INGREDIENTS
(Serves 4)
500g (1 lb) minced pork
Juice of ½ a lemon
2 -3 tbsp of olive oil
¼ tsp of Herbs de Provence
½ an onion, finely chopped
90g (3 oz) garlic and herb cream cheese
½ tsp each of fennel seeds and dried oregano
Salt and black pepper to taste
4 burger buns, sliced tomatoes and stoned black olives to serve

WHAT TO DO
1. Place the minced pork into a bowl along with the lemon juice, Herbs de Provence, onion, cream cheese, fennel seeds, oregano and salt and pepper to taste. Mix well. Divide the mixture up into 4 balls and flatten to form burger shapes.

2. Grill the burgers under a medium heat for 3-4 minutes each side until browned and firm to the touch.

3. Serve in the burger buns with the sliced tomatoes and olives.

I like to serve these burgers with either French fried potatoes or with a tossed salad, but the choice is yours.
