Herrings in Oatmeal

Instructions


1) Split and bone herrings, wash well
2) Mix salt and oatmeal together
3) Roll herrings in oatmeal, make sure both sides are coated
4) Heat the butter in a frying pan until hot
5) Add herring skin side up, fry both sides for 3-5 minutes
6) Remove from pan and drain on paper towl, serve immediately
