ImportTTX is a utility that allows the conversion of BBC Micro Mode 7 screens to BMP, JPG and PNG images.
Although this version of ImportTTX has been released as a standalone product, it is part of the next version of Image2BBC which is currently under development.

Simple challenge – compose a piece using no more than 140 notes…
No other rules… but your 140 notes must include any harmony notes, etc, and any sound effects, percussion or drum hits also each count as a note.

Colour Filter Test Tool, a tool for applying colour filters to images and photographs, has been updated to version 1.2.1 and released for the Windows, Linux and Mac OS X platforms.

I have made the sheet music for my piano piece “Good Night Little Star” available for download. You can find it under the Documents section of this site. This is a piece that was written for the first of The Piano Cloud’s “Wedding Challenges” (Something Old) where artists were invited to submit a brand new version of a piece of music by a composer who is dead. I chose to do mine based on the children’s lullaby “Twinkle Twinkle Little Star”.
I have made the sheet music for my piano piece “Daisy”, which was written as part of The Piano Cloud’s Bouquet of Flowers challenge, available for download. The download is available from the newly created Documents section of this site.

My submission for stage one of The Piano Cloud’s ‘A Bouquet of Flowers’ challenge. The tune is based on the tradition of plucking the daisy’s petals whilst saying “(s)he loves me, (s)he loves me not”.
The second of my articles originally published by The Crypt Mag on BBC Micro screen formats, this time looking at the differences between the British and American versions of the computer, Mode 8 and shadow screens.
